shoe obession, The Museum at FIT

The average American woman owes 20 pair of shoes. I know I owe 50+.  Yikes. 

Sadly many of the shoes on display were more objects of art than something I would wear to the grocery store let alone to the office.  Who am I kidding, I would literally kill myself trying to walk in them.

According to the curator of the exhibition, women’s love of shoes seems to be more closely related to the historical fact that high heels are the prime satorial symbol of ‘feminity, ’ which encompasses far more than female sexuality.

Regardless, one can never have enough.
